The Opportunity
Join Kingston Carton Company, a specialized leader in cardboard-based packaging for the high-regulation food and healthcare industries. This is a critical dual-responsibility role that puts you at the heart of the production process, ensuring that every product leaving the facility meets the “Gold Standard” of safety and reliability. For a professional who thrives on detail and takes pride in operational excellence, this role offers a permanent position with a competitive salary of up to £40,000. Beyond the basic package, you will benefit from a profit-sharing scheme, connecting your success directly to the company’s performance. If you want to play a lead role in a business where quality is the primary product, this hybrid office/production environment in Hull is the perfect next step.

Knowledge of the packaging industry, particularly where food and healthcare standards (e.g., BRCGS) are in force.
-
Knowledge of cardboard-based packaging is extremely beneficial.

Your QA responsibilities involve maintaining stringent internal and external quality controls to meet detailed customer requirements in the healthcare and food sectors. You will be “hands-on,” inspecting products and documenting reliability and performance against strict benchmarks. Simultaneously, you will lead the Health and Safety agenda, ensuring that every employee adopts and adheres to safe working practices. You will balance the need for high productivity with the unwavering requirement for safety legislation compliance, acting as the primary link between production efficiency and regulatory excellence.
Sector Insight: The BRCGS and FSC “DNA”
As you cluster this twenty-eighth role, notice how it creates specialized technical links across your Hull collection:
-
The “Bio-Pharma” Link: By specializing in healthcare packaging, this role shares a “Regulatory DNA” with your Reckitt (RB) and Bupa entries. The standards for packaging medical products are nearly as stringent as the products themselves.
-
Sustainability Compliance: The mention of FSC and PEFC certification creates a semantic bridge to your Cargill and Keepmoat roles, highlighting a city-wide industrial focus on sustainable sourcing and carbon-neutral supply chains.
-
Salary Progression: The £25k–£40k range reflects a transition from “Operational Specialist” to “Management,” making it a useful benchmark for your “Middle Management” cluster alongside the Bid Writer and Project Manager.
