Tameside College is looking for a skilled and highly motivated Progress Tutor to join our established team in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Key Requirements and Skills

Qualifications: A relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) is essential, alongside Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.

Experience: A proven track record of delivering personal development sessions and monitoring student attendance, achievement, and progression.

Student Support: Deep understanding of the issues facing young people with diverse needs (social, emotional, and behavioral).

Technical Skills: Experienced in target setting and using data to monitor learner outcomes.

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to remain calm under pressure and use a problem-solving approach to manage challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver a caseload of group tutorials focused on personal development, behavior, welfare, and employability.

Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to identify and remove barriers to student success.

Monitor student progress closely, intervening where necessary to ensure high levels of attendance and achievement.

Motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and starting points to aim for excellence.
