ROLE SUMMARY

The Production Manager holds the duty of supervising the routine activities of live show productions throughout the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, including the harmonization of logistics, administration of output timelines, and management of all technical and functional components. This position demands a meticulous expert capable of effectively directing assets, performers, technicians, and hardware to guarantee flawless project delivery. The individual will work in tandem with producers, project leads, directors, technical units, suppliers, and patrons to provide premium content that matches the artistic intent and financial limits. Furthermore, this manager will maintain direct contact and personal responsibility for client relations.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Relationship Management: Delivers exceptional service to clients, making their satisfaction the fundamental goal.

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Formulate comprehensive project calendars, deadlines, and internal processes, ensuring every component is organized and finished punctually and within defined boundaries.

  • Resource Management: Supervise the distribution of assets, involving staff, hardware, suppliers, and venue logistics to ensure maximum utility for every show.

  • Budget Management: Handle the daily financial oversight of the show, monitoring outlays, controlling costs, and bargaining with suppliers to maintain economical operations.

  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Direct associations with external suppliers, freelancers, performers, and independent workers, including agreement negotiations, deliverable oversight, and ensuring adherence to professional benchmarks.

  • Crew Coordination: Recruit, organize, and lead production technicians and staff, ensuring they are fully informed and prepared for every event.

  • Logistics & Operations: Synchronize all venue logistics, encompassing site coordination, permits, transit, hardware, and the setup of show assets.

  • Technical Oversight: Collaborate with engineering units to supervise the installation, use, and removal of show hardware, including video, lighting, acoustics, staging, special effects, and other systems.

  • Quality Control: Guarantee that every show adheres to peak benchmarks for excellence and safety, performing site inspections and fixing problems immediately.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Establish and supervise safety procedures on-site, ensuring all staff members follow regulations to keep the work environment secure.

  • Risk Management: Recognize and minimize potential hazards linked to production tasks, creating backup strategies to handle technical, functional, or timing difficulties.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep precise project logs, including call sheets, daily updates, spending journals, and hardware lists, offering transparent and correct records of all show tasks.

  • Flexible Schedule: Assignment sites are located worldwide and may demand prolonged shifts, including weekend or holiday work and overseas transit to project venues as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERTISE

  • University degree in Arts Management, Media, Film, Production, Athletics, Communications, or a related discipline; equivalent workplace history will be taken into account.

  • Over 5 years of professional production oversight experience in the sports, leisure, or live show sectors.

  • Superior spoken and written interpersonal skills.

  • Deep understanding of live show creation methodologies, hardware, transit, and programming.

  • Competence in project oversight software such as Wrike, Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, or similar apps.

  • Knowledge of occupational safety laws and best practices within show environments.

  • Ability to work during late hours, weekends, and holiday periods when necessary.
