Job Overview
As a part-time Playworker in the Phoenix after-school club, you will provide high-quality care and play opportunities for children in a busy school setting. You will supervise activities, promote safe, inclusive play, and support a positive learning atmosphere each weekday afternoon during term time.

Responsibilities
• Provide safe, engaging play and activity opportunities after school
• Supervise children, promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
• Set up, lead and tidy away play equipment and resources
• Support children’s social, emotional and physical development through play
• Work as part of the club and school team to maintain a warm, welcoming environment
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times

Requirements
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents
• Flexible, reliable and able to work Monday to Friday after-school hours
• Confident working in a busy school environment
• Right to work in the United Kingdom

Qualifications
• Level 2 childcare or equivalent qualification required
• Experience working with children in school, club or childcare settings preferred
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Understanding of safe play, supervision and behaviour support
