In this dual-setting role, you will navigate between Inpatient and Outpatient environments, providing high-quality rehabilitative care for a diverse patient group. From assisting post-surgical patients in their initial steps on the ward to designing long-term recovery plans for musculoskeletal (MSK) clinic patients, your clinical expertise will be vital. You will work within a sophisticated multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver coordinated care that helps patients return to their peak functional levels.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

• Holistic Assessment: Assess, diagnose, and manage conditions across orthopaedic, post-surgical, neurological, and respiratory specialities.

• Treatment Planning: Formulate evidence-based, individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to patient goals and clinical findings.

• Therapeutic Intervention: Execute a range of techniques, including manual therapy, specialized exercise prescription, and patient education.

• MDT Collaboration: Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and discharge planning alongside consultants, nurses, and OTs.

• Caseload Management: Efficiently manage a varied caseload, providing staff cover during busy periods or annual leave.

• Specialist Referrals: Identify when patients require specialized services such as hydrotherapy, pain management, or community rehab.

Requirements

• Education: BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy.

• Registration: Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.

• Professional Body: Active membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

• Expertise: Strong clinical reasoning and a commitment to evidence-based practice across varied clinical settings.

• Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
