The King David High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and committed Pastoral and Intervention Lead to join our warm and caring community. This is a vital role focused on identifying and addressing barriers to learning, ensuring every student has the support they need to raise their aspirations and reach their full potential. Role Overview

  • Position: Pastoral and Intervention Lead

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract: Permanent, Term time plus 10 days

  • Hours: 8:15 am – 3:45 pm (Mon–Thu); Fri: Finish 15 mins after pupils

  • Salary: Grade 1 SCP 2 (£22,316 pro rata)


Key Responsibilities

  • Pastoral Support: Act as a primary point of contact for students requiring emotional or social support, fostering a sense of belonging and community.

  • Targeted Intervention: Identify students facing academic or personal barriers and implement tailored intervention strategies to help them stay on track.

  • Aspiration Building: Work with students to raise their self-esteem and future goals, helping them become optimistic and solution-oriented.

  • Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and teachers to maintain the high expectations of achievement that define the school.

  • Community Engagement: Support the school’s mission of valuing each child’s creativity and personal development through active involvement in school life.
