Part-time HR Advisor
Our premier client is seeking a permanent part-time HR Advisor to join their team in Manchester and nearby regions.
This role involves providing consistent HR support on a permanent basis, covering Manchester and surrounding areas, ensuring business operations are supported through guidance, advice, and project assistance.
Role Purpose:
• Deliver a full HR support service across the business, offering advice and guidance to line managers, assisting with HR projects, and completing key activities to meet internal business needs. The role involves travel across regional sites, including depots and offices.
Job Role Responsibilities:
• Offer first-line HR guidance to line managers in generalist areas such as absence management, performance management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and contractual matters.
• Attend formal meetings as an HR representative or note-taker for investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and medical or performance capability reviews.
• Collaborate with the People Services Administration team to ensure transactional HR processes such as absence management and leaver payments are accurate and comply with payroll deadlines.
• Track, report, and analyse trends across all HR casework.
• Work in partnership with HR Business Partners and the People Services Manager on escalated cases or situations requiring risk management.
• Ensure best practice, fairness, confidentiality, and sensitivity in handling HR matters.
• Assist in the creation, updating, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, template letters, and supporting documents in line with legislative changes and best practice.
• Support broader business initiatives including restructures and HR process improvements to drive continuous enhancement of HR systems and practices.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
• Extensive Employee Relations experience (disciplinaries, serious incidents, long-term sickness, grievances)
• CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification
• Ability to travel to offices in Manchester, Salford, Preston, Blackburn, and Stockport
