Overview
The Part-time Customer Service Representative role is a varied, customer-facing position in a busy contact centre environment. You’ll handle inbound queries from shareholders, employees and their representatives, delivering an excellent standard of service and seeking the right outcome for every customer in a professional, positive way.
This is a 25‑hour per week role. For your first two weeks, you’ll work full‑time hours so you can complete essential technical and soft‑skills training. There may be opportunities to increase your hours later. After six months’ probation, you’ll be supported to study for Module 1 of the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC), fully funded by Link Group.
Shifts to be filled are 12:00–17:00 Monday to Friday. Alternative patterns of 10:00–15:00 or 11:00–16:00 (Monday to Friday) will also be considered. The role is based in Link Group’s city‑centre Leeds office.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding to inbound calls and other contacts from customers and their representatives, meeting agreed service levels
- Completing identification and verification checks on all enquiries in line with procedures
- Identifying customer needs and responding positively and professionally, suggesting improvements to enhance customer experience
- Building and maintaining expert knowledge of products, processes and procedures through ongoing learning and coaching
- Escalating complex queries, complaints, risks and issues promptly and appropriately
- Recording information accurately in core systems and using these systems effectively to answer enquiries
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and supporting Link Group assurance and risk programmes
- Assisting other teams and projects when required

- Experience in Financial Services and/or contact‑centre environments is advantageous
- Evidence of working to and achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets
- Excellent problem‑solving ability and strong attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook
- Willingness to own your development, identify learning needs and take responsibility for your performance
