Job Overview
As a Part Time Chef at Miller & Carter Coventry, you will prep for service, cook steaks and classic dishes to spec, and keep the grill line spotless. You’ll work busy shifts with a close-knit brigade, learn our menu inside out and build the skills to progress quickly through structured training, feedback and opportunities to support other kitchen sections when needed.
Responsibilities
• Prepare all required mise en place before each service
• Cook steaks and menu dishes accurately to brand specifications
• Master the Miller & Carter menu and portion standards
• Maintain excellent cleanliness, food safety and kitchen hygiene at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy services
• Follow health and safety procedures and complete required checks
Requirements
• Happy to work part time shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment
• Reliable, punctual and ready to get stuck in as part of a team
• Willing to follow detailed specs and high standards consistently
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
Qualifications
• Previous chef or kitchen experience helpful but not essential
• Passion for great food, especially steak, and pride in presentation
• Willingness to attend Steak School and other paid training
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and take feedback on board
