Part-Time Accountant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of a small, friendly family office based in Mayfair. The role offers flexibility and variety, working closely with a small team and external advisers.Key Responsibilities:Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using appropriate accounting software.Budgeting & Monitoring: Assist in preparing annual budgets and track actual spend against budget, flagging variances.Invoicing: Raise service fee invoices and manage related receivables.Statutory Accounts: Prepare or coordinate preparation of year-end statutory accounts with externalaccountants.VAT Returns: Compile and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines.Overseas Filings: Liaise with international advisers to ensure timely completion of overseas regulatory filings.Payments: Set up and process basic payments on behalf of the company and the principal, ensuring appropriate authorisation.KYC Checks: Support basic Know Your Customer processes for new counterparties and service providers.Ad Hoc Finance Tasks: Provide general support on other financial matters as needed, including simple analysis or documentation.Profile:Strong attention to detail, discretion, and a proactive attitudeExperience in small company or family office environments preferredComfortable working independently and liaising with external professionalsIf you would like to find out more about the role, please send a (preferably Word) copy of your latest CV
