TC Group
Job description
TC Group is looking for a proactive Operations Support Lead to join our Manchester office. As a top 20 accountancy firm in the UK, we pride ourselves on being more than just accountants; we are ambitious business advisors. This unique role bridges the gap between traditional administration and fee-earning support, offering you the chance to work closely with partners on client delivery. With a salary of up to £30,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, this is an ideal move for a detail-oriented professional who wants to take ownership of key business functions in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
-
Client Onboarding: Take the lead on systemised due diligence and essential ID checks for new clients.
-
Company Secretarial: Manage the firm’s CoSec function, ensuring all Companies House filings are accurate and submitted on time.
-
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients via phone, email, and secure portals, managing expectations and building trusted relationships.
-
Financial Administration: Handle fee-raising processes and resolve any billing queries to ensure smooth commercial operations.
-
Operational Support: Manage compliance documentation, provide proactive administrative assistance to colleagues, and ensure the office runs efficiently.
About You
-
Experience: Ideally, you have a background in professional services (accountancy, legal, or similar), though we are open to those with a strong administrative foundation and a “keenness to learn.”
-
Technical Skills: IT proficiency is a must (Microsoft Suite). Familiarity with accounting software is a bonus but not essential.
-
Mindset: You are highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines. You enjoy a “hands-on” approach and varied tasks.
-
Communication: You possess excellent verbal and written skills, capable of interacting professionally with both internal senior teams and external clients.
Why TC Group?
We offer a supportive culture that invests in your personal and professional aspirations. Our benefits are designed to provide security and work-life balance:
-
Hybrid Working: Enjoy a mix of home and office work (following your probationary period).
-
Security: Group life assurance (4x salary) and a solid pension scheme.
-
Wellbeing: An Employee Assistance Programme, a “Birthday Day Off,” and a Christmas shutdown to ensure you recharge.
-
Growth: Regular training and development opportunities to help you evolve within the firm.
-
Social: Active social functions and events to foster a true team environment.
Note: Candidates must be based in the UK and have existing right to work, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
