Your Role

As the Operations Manager for the UK, you will:

  • Actively champion the corporate reputation of Atlas Copco.

  • Verify that all rental facilities achieve or surpass ISO 9001, 14000, and 18001 benchmarks.

  • Guarantee that equipment depots follow the most precise safety protocols.

  • Achieve SHEQ KPI objectives while preserving elevated operational standards. Conduct monthly safety discussions and supervise general performance.

  • Oversee and optimize the UK machinery fleet based on key metrics, focusing on utilization, availability, and rental returns.

  • Manage and reduce operational expenditures within established budgetary boundaries.

  • Lead service supervisors across offshore, steam, and industrial sectors to ensure efficient UK rental functions.

  • Administer the UK Rental department’s Purchase to Pay workflows, including comprehensive supplier auditing.

  • Connect with global Atlas Copco branches to utilize international staff expertise as required.

  • Assess professional development gaps, design training modules, and conduct annual staff performance reviews.

  • Participate in monthly leadership and sales assemblies, providing updates from the technical service unit. Prepare status reports for Business Review Meetings.

  • Document equipment malfunctions and service flaws while performing quality audits and improvement logging.

  • Communicate frequently with internal units and service leads to align on corporate objectives. Distribute service bulletins and host monthly meetings.

  • Summarize data from service leads to maintain precise client documentation and records.

  • Execute specialized assignments and missions on-site or at remote locations, including necessary product education.

  • Manage and update critical registers for inventory, waste, tools, and PPE.

  • Engage in ongoing training to refine professional skills and industry knowledge.

  • Provide direct mentorship and professional coaching to field service staff and team supervisors.

Requirements for Success

  • Professional Experience: Substantiated background in industrial support, ideally within the compressed air sector or a comparable field.

  • Expertise: Ability to work autonomously with superior organizational and communication talents. Demonstrated proficiency in business analytics and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). A valid UK driving license is mandatory, as is a willingness for international and domestic travel.
