Operations Director

Londinium Recruitment

The Opportunity for an Operations Director

Are you a seasoned senior executive in the building sector seeking complete functional authority over a prestigious joinery specialist? This represents a unique opening to move into a critical management position within a firm renowned for executing superior joinery solutions on expansive, high-density residential projects throughout London.

This is far more than a basic executive post—you will be the engine behind the firm’s entire building and execution departments. Reporting straight to the Managing Director, you will direct a burgeoning unit of 5+ Project Leads and claim full accountability for all active assignments and execution pillars.

Projects encompass iconic builds in Central London and significant frameworks elsewhere, collaborating with a premier customer network of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Building Contractors.

Key Responsibilities for the Operations Director:

  • Complete accountability for building functions across every active assignment.

  • Direct, supervise, and nurture a unit of Project Managers to secure uniform, superior outputs.

  • Partner with the MD on business scaling, tactical roadmaps, and financial results.

  • Supervise execution benchmarks, resource distribution, scheduling, and health & safety.

  • Serve as the primary partner contact to preserve and expand alliances with elite developers.

  • Champion systemic enhancements, promote productivity, and assist in scaling the firm during its ongoing growth.

What We’re Looking for in an Operations Director:

  • Demonstrated history of executing premium fit-out or joinery solutions on significant residential frameworks.

  • Prior background at an executive tier, such as Contracts Director, Senior Ops Manager, or a parallel post.

  • Self-assured in supervising large squads, numerous assignments, and high-expectation clients.

  • An active, involved guide who excels in a quality-focused, high-velocity setting.

  • Robust grasp of building schedules and high levels of commercial insight.

  • Background managing London-based assignments is extremely advantageous.

Why Join This Business?

  • Independence to define the functional framework of a flourishing, esteemed specialist.

  • Collaborate with a motivated and visionary Managing Director.

  • Potential for profit participation for a suitable candidate.

  • Central hub located in Putney with assignments spanning the London area.

  • A firm that is both high-aiming and stable, with an established name for excellence.

Success depends on systemic scalability and maintaining high-margin delivery.
