Job Summary
• Provide expert case management and occupational health screening, adhering to KML’s management system and legislative requirements.
• Contribute to the development of clinical procedures and ensure compliance with evolving legislation and best practices.
• Support the maintenance of KML’s external accreditations and assist in clinical audits.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams, including the Clinical Lead and Operations Manager.
• Uphold the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, including NMC Revalidation.
• Ensure clinical equipment is regularly maintained and calibrated.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct both face-to-face and remote consultations, working within your professional scope and coordinating with managers and healthcare professionals as needed.
• Review health screening results and provide recommendations regarding fitness to work.
• Escalate clinical cases as needed, providing updates and guidance on health assessments.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments and support the creation of health promotion programs.
• Liaise with third-party OH services to ensure quality service delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records in compliance with GDPR and organizational procedures.
• Address ad hoc occupational health issues as they arise.
• Engage in pre-placement screenings and other necessary assessments, including HAVS and drug/alcohol testing.
Managerial
• Organize and manage your workload effectively.
• Participate in meetings to provide occupational health insights.
• Communicate updates on client contracts where necessary.
• Contribute to the development of KML’s management system and clinical procedures.
• Support business development initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Essential:
• Registered nurse with NMC part 1.
• Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Occupational Health (NMC part 3).
• Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, punctual, organized, and flexible.
• Meet DBS requirements.
• Ability to work independently with integrity.
Desirable:
• Experience in managing occupational health services.
• Skills in people management.
• Familiarity with eOPAS G2 Occupational Health management system.
• Knowledge of the SEQOHS audit and re-accreditation processes.
