Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 6 Rotational)
NHS Scotland is offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician to join the Moray Physiotherapy team. This permanent, full-time Band 6 role is designed for a physiotherapist who values clinical variety and professional growth. Based in the scenic Moray area, you will rotate annually through three distinct clinical environments, allowing you to maintain a broad skillset while taking on the increased clinical and supervisory responsibilities expected at a specialist level.
Core Requirements and Skills

Professional Registration: Must be a HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.

Experience: Significant post-registration experience, demonstrating the ability to manage complex clinical cases independently.

Adaptability: Willingness and ability to rotate every 12 months through different specialties.

Leadership: Ability to supervise junior staff and students, contributing to the wider team’s in-service training.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for working across community, acute hospital, and clinic settings.

Mobility: Ability to travel across the Moray locality for community rotations (own transport is usually required for home visits).
Key Rotations
The post offers a unique 12-month rotation cycle through the following areas:

In-Patients (Dr Gray’s Hospital): Providing acute physiotherapy interventions within the hospital setting in Elgin, focusing on respiratory care, orthopaedics, and medical rehabilitation.

MSK (Musculoskeletal): Delivering assessment and treatment for various bone, joint, and muscle conditions at several locations across Moray.

Community: Treating patients in their own homes or community hospitals, focusing on frailty, falls prevention, and neurological rehabilitation.

Paediatrics (Optional): There may be the opportunity to gain specialized experience in children’s services.
