Role Responsibilities
In the capacity of Night Manager, you will be responsible for the hotel’s nocturnal activities, ensuring guests receive superior care while maintaining a secure and productive environment.
Your duties will involve:
• Directing all overnight functions and ensuring a seamless transition between the daytime and evening crews.
• Managing and assisting the Night Team, keeping spirits high and productivity consistent during the shift.
• Delivering a hospitable and expert reception for guests, managing arrivals, departures, and any late-hour questions or problems.
• Protecting the safety and welfare of visitors, employees, and the premises through routine inspections and strict follow-through of corporate protocols.
• Overseeing cash management, performing night audit tasks, and ensuring precise financial reporting.
• Executing daily fire safety and security inspections to remain in line with all Health & Safety laws.
• Working with various departments to confirm the hotel is prepared for the following day’s business.
• Managing any emergencies or unexpected events with composure and effectiveness, adhering to organizational guidelines.
• Assisting with overnight food and drink requests when required.
Key Requirements
• Prior background in hotel leadership or a supervisory overnight position within the service sector.
• Robust communication and management talents, with a capacity to inspire and assist a limited staff.
• Superior guest relations and conflict-resolution skills, upholding a professional image at all times.
• Solid grasp of hotel software and overnight audit routines (experience with PMS is a plus).
• Capacity to operate without direct supervision, demonstrating dependability and proactive behavior.
• Availability to perform night shifts throughout the week and over weekends.
