Accurately maintain and update patient records, ensuring all information is entered timely to support clinical workflows.Conduct regular audits of medical records for compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.Assist healthcare providers in retrieving patient files during consultations, ensuring quick access to vital information.Process requests for medical records from patients and third parties while safeguarding patient confidentiality.Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage, store, and retrieve patient data efficiently.Prepare and organize medical records for archival, ensuring that records are easily accessible for future reference.Respond to inquiries related to medical records both in person and over the phone, providing excellent customer service.Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and data management practices to maintain compliance. Graduation or diploma in Medical Records; additional education in health information management is preferred.Prior experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in medical records or administrative support roles, for at least 2-3 years.Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or similar credential is a significant advantage.Proficiency in electronic health record systems, with experience in software such as Epic or Cerner being highly desirable.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.
