Professional family seeks a proactive housekeeper/nanny to manage two homes, assist with children, household maintenance, and errands efficiently.

Core Job Information

Role Overview

• Manage two family homes: central York and a secondary home 45 minutes away.
• Primarily housekeeping duties with some childcare responsibilities.
• Support family of four: two children aged 5 and 8.

Household Duties

• Cleaning, laundering, ironing, and tidying both properties.
• Maintenance of household equipment and monitoring property repairs.
• Run errands: groceries, dry cleaning, tradespeople coordination.
• Prepare for holidays, weekends, and special events.

Childcare Responsibilities

• Assist with homework, music practice, and extracurricular activities.
• Occasionally babysitting and school runs.
• Prepare healthy meals for children and family.
• Support children with SEN (if applicable).

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in childcare and housekeeping.
• Level 3 NVQ in Childcare or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check and 12-hour Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Driving license essential.
• Professional, proactive, nurturing, and organised.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 11am–7pm / 12pm–8pm.
• Salary: £32,760 gross per annum.
• Permanent role, start date September 2024 (earlier for suitable candidates).
• No pets in the household.
