The Manchester Dental Landscape (2026)
In 2026, the demand for dentistry in Manchester remains high, particularly in diverse urban areas like Longsight.
-
The UDA Evolution: While the UDA system remains the baseline for NHS contracts, many practices are shifting toward “Blended Contracts” to better manage high-needs patients.
-
Digital Integration: The use of intraoral scanners (like the iTero on-site) has moved from “premium” to “standard,” drastically reducing lab turnaround times and improving patient conversion for private treatments.
-
Urban Demand: Longsight’s high footfall and proximity to the city centre ensure a consistent flow of emergency and routine patients, providing a stable environment for a locum to hit UDA targets.
