Job Summary: Local Campaigns Officer – London

This is an exciting time for Parkinson’s UK as the charity seeks to expand its reach and improve life for everyone affected by the condition. We are looking for a dedicated campaigner to join our London network and foster genuine connections within the Parkinson’s community. This role is perfect for a collaborative professional who wants to lead impactful local advocacy and ensure that no voice goes unheard in the fight for better services.


Requirements and Skills

  • Experience of campaigning and an understanding of the basic tools and techniques used in campaigning.

  • Experience of working with volunteers and services users including how best to support them to achieve their campaigning goals.

  • Experience in organising events.

  • Experience of delivering training to volunteers and staff.

  • Ability to work flexibly, sometimes evenings or weekends.

  • Experience of using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively.

  • Live within the geography required (Greater London).

  • Provide their own broadband service with a minimum download speed of 2Mb.

  • Have a confidential space in which to work.


Role Overview

As the Local Campaigns Officer for London, you will lead and coordinate political campaigning and advocacy work across the capital. You will serve as the primary point of contact for local supporters, providing expert advice on how to effectively challenge and influence decision-makers. Your day-to-day will involve recruiting and managing a sustainable network of volunteers, organizing events, and building strong relationships with field staff to ensure the Parkinson’s community has access to the multidisciplinary care they need to live well.
