Job Description

The Linehaul Driver will operate modern Class 1 vehicles on night shifts, transporting freight between regional hubs safely and efficiently.

Position Overview

Role: Class 1 Linehaul Driver
Contract Type: Permanent (45 hours per week)
Location: Nottingham
Shift: Nights / Monday to Friday / 19:00 – 05:00
Salary: £41,535 annually
Fleet: Modern Volvo vehicles (less than 4 years old) with high-spec features

Key Responsibilities

Drive Class 1 lorries for trunking between regional hubs on night shifts.
Deliver and collect cages, pallets, freight, stillages, and Yorks on schedule.
Inspect and maintain vehicle condition daily; report defects when necessary.
Load/unload goods as required and scan consignments accurately.
Communicate effectively with site managers and ensure customer satisfaction.
Follow all road transport laws and DHL’s safety policies.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 Driving Licence
Driver CPC Qualification Card
Completed or in-progress DCPC training hours
Strong understanding of Road Transport Laws
Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
