The role
The team are responsible for ensuring that the University’s most visible, significant and largest events are successfully planned, delivered and evaluated. The team manage a range of high-profile events for current and prospective students which include a large programme of University Graduation ceremonies throughout the year and student registration events, including collection of University ID cards and completion of student document checks during welcome week.
What will you be doing?
The Lifecycle Events Assistant will assistant with the successful delivery of a programme of events, projects and related communication activities as part of the Lifecycle Events team. The post-holder will provide support to the Lifecycle Events Coordinator, Lifecycle Events Officers and Lifecycle Events Manager.
You should apply if
• You have experience scheduling and organising meetings, preparing agendas and taking notes and actions
• You can resolve enquiries independently or allocate to the most suitable member of staff
• You have the ability to work in a busy and demanding environment, under pressure at times
• You have great organisational skills
• You have the ability to manage information electronically through databases and spreadsheets
• You take ownership of any problems encountered in day-to-day work and flag urgent issues
• You have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Previous events administration experience is desirable but not essential
• Would like to progress your careers in events management

Work pattern: Part time (28 hours per week)

Salary: £28,778 – £32,080 per annum pro rata
