The Kingsway School in Gatley is seeking an inspirational Lead Teacher of Business Studies to join our Enterprise Department. This is a vital appointment for an oversubscribed subject—with over 120 students selecting Business Studies annually—making it one of our most popular Key Stage 4 options. We are looking for a visionary leader who is passionate about curriculum design and committed to the academic success of our comprehensive student body.


Role Overview

  • Position: Lead Teacher of Business Studies

  • Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR 2a

  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent

  • Start Date: Easter 2026 (or September 2026 for the right candidate)

  • Closing Date: 20th February 2026

  • Interview Date: Week commencing 23rd February 2026

  • Curriculum Design: Lead the development of an inspiring, knowledge-rich Business curriculum that aligns with the school and Trust vision.

  • Quality of Teaching: Support the Enterprise Department in delivering high-quality pedagogy to maximize student potential.

  • Innovation: Use latest curriculum research to enhance subject implementation and create ambitious academic outcomes.

  • Leadership: Act as a self-reflective, community-spirited middle leader who maintains consistently high standards and attention to detail.
