Korean speaking Treasury & Trade Finance Assistant

Are you a bilingual finance professional with a knack for precision and a deep understanding of global banking operations? K-People Europe Limited is recruiting a Korean-speaking Treasury & Trade Finance Assistant for a prominent client in the UK.

In this dual-focus role, you will act as a vital link between treasury operations and international trade finance. You will be responsible for the “lifeblood” of the company—managing liquidity, executing complex FX trades, and overseeing the Letter of Credit (LC) process. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in SAP and Excel to join a fast-paced environment where your linguistic skills and financial acumen will directly impact the firm’s global trading success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Treasury & Cash Management

• Daily Operations: Execute high-value payments and monitor incoming funds using SAP and various online banking platforms.

• Liquidity: Manage daily and monthly cash closing, monitor cash flow positions, and handle fund operations.

• FX Management: Execute foreign exchange trades and ensure daily rates are accurately updated in the system.

• Audit Support: Assist with treasury-related internal controls and compliance documentation.

2. Trade Finance

• Letter of Credit (LC): Handle the end-to-end issuance of LCs, coordinating closely with international banks and vendors to ensure seamless trade.

• Credit & Loans: Manage Parent Company Guarantees (PCG), monitor credit lines, and administer loan drawdowns and interest payments.

• KYC & Banking: Serve as a point of contact for bank liaisons and manage Know Your Customer (KYC) requests.

3. Margin & Derivative Management

• Margin Calls: Monitor daily margin requirements for derivative accounts.

• Fund Movement: Execute daily deposits and withdrawals of margin funds to maintain regulatory and contractual compliance.

Requirements

• Language: Professional fluency in Korean and English (both written and verbal) is essential.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or banking.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel is required; experience with SAP is highly desirable.

• Numeracy: Excellent numerical skills with a “zero-error” approach to detail.

• Mindset: A flexible, team-oriented professional with strong communication skills.
