Description:

The Operations Supervisor is in charge of overseeing a region and all of its suppliers. They’ll cultivate connections with all providers and work to save costs while improving consumer and provider satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for filling open positions, dealing with underperforming and outstanding providers, and regularly monitoring current providers.
Job Requirements:
• It’s important to make sure that the Federal Reserve’s and the Treasury’s currency operations manuals are followed.
• Manage the timely and accurate completion of all paperwork related to shipment transportation. Maintain cost control while assuring prompt pick-ups and recoveries. For internal and external customers, enter rate quotes or freight expenses.
• Supports department/division goals. Conveys ideas for new company or product development. Coordinates team action plan to achieve goals.
• Work and self-directed team management (s). Staff members are chosen, led, and coached. Establishes the team’s general direction. Identifies and executes training initiatives for team members. Makes decisions on remuneration, employment, and firing.
• Make every effort to participate in and direct department or bank-related tasks. The capacity to lead or participate in work groups or projects within the Federal Reserve System is an added advantage of this job function.
• Use your knowledge to ensure the region is run efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with company standards and processes.
• It is essential that workers and others be made aware of any difficulties that may impair collaboration or procedures, resources, or other commitments. It is critical to maintain regular contact with the local Field Engineer.
• Supervisory and training responsibilities for customer service, data entry, dispatch, and warehousing staff assigned to the corresponding shift. Ensure that all employees provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Handle the department’s administrative functions, including accounting, reporting, and recordkeeping, in accordance with business policies and regulations.
• A full and comprehensive orientation, skill and safety training, necessary materials and information, regular evaluations as well as proactive coaching should be provided to all department employees as a part of their ongoing development.
