Job Summary
The IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) role is pivotal in ensuring that our Paediatric First Aid (PFA) training courses meet the highest quality and compliance standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating course delivery, assessing trainer performance, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and awarding body requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of PFA guidelines, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in training provision.
Duties
• Conduct regular audits and quality checks on PFA course delivery, materials, and assessments to ensure compliance with awarding body standards (e.g., Highfield or other relevant accreditors).
• Observe and evaluate trainers, providing constructive feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness and learner experience.
• Ensure all PFA course content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with current best practices and legislation (e.g., EYFS, OFSTED requirements).
• Review learner portfolios and assessment decisions to ensure consistency, fairness, and adherence to competency standards.
• Identify areas for improvement in course delivery and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed quality assurance reports for management, highlighting findings and recommendations.
• Support and mentor trainers, ensuring they understand and follow internal and external quality assurance processes.
• Stay informed on changes in PFA guidelines, safeguarding policies, and regulatory requirements affecting paediatric first aid training.
Skills & Requirements
• In-depth knowledge of Paediatric First Aid (PFA) training, including course content, assessment methods, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in IQA or teaching/assessing PFA courses (essential).
• Hold a recognised IQA qualification (e.g., Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance) or willingness to work towards one.
• Strong analytical skills to assess training quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to trainers and staff.
• Detail-oriented approach, ensuring all training meets strict compliance and safeguarding standards.
• Proficiency in using e-learning platforms and quality assurance documentation.
This role is essential in maintaining high-quality, compliant, and effective paediatric first aid training, ensuring our learners receive the best possible education to safeguard children’s wellbeing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
