Investment Banking Analyst Intern – Healthcare

Guggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. We are looking for a high-performing Analyst Intern to join our specialist Healthcare team in London for the 2026 season.

Guggenheim is known for its “boutique” feel with “bulge-bracket” reach. As an intern, you won’t be tucked away in a back office; you will be an integral part of a lean deal team. You will support senior bankers in advising leading healthcare companies—ranging from biotech startups to global pharmaceutical giants—on complex M&A, equity and debt financing, and strategic restructuring. This is an elite training ground for those with a genuine curiosity for the life sciences and a drive for technical excellence.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Sector Intelligence: Perform deep-dive research into healthcare sub-sectors (Biotech, MedTech, Services) to identify emerging trends and client challenges.

• Financial Modeling: Support deal teams by building and maintaining complex financial models to project company performance and transaction impact.

• Valuation Analysis: Master the “Three Pillars” of valuation—Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Leveraged Buyout (LBO), and Public/Precedent Multiples.

• Transaction Execution: Assist in the preparation of “books” (pitch books and CIMs) and participate in live transaction meetings with clients, lawyers, and accountants.

• Advisory Exposure: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the full suite of investment banking products: M&A, Debt/Equity Capital Markets, and Restructuring.

About You

• Education: You are a recent graduate or currently on track to graduate in Spring/Summer 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027.

• Technical Aptitude: You have a working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. An existing understanding of financial valuation is a significant advantage.

• Resilience: You possess the maturity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while serving top-tier C-suite executives.

• Communication: You have strong written and oral communication skills, capable of distilling complex data into clear narratives.

• Mindset: You are proactive, highly organized, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity about the intersection of finance and healthcare innovation.
