Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: Strong administrative background with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Qualifications: CIPD qualification (or working towards one) is highly desirable.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with the rigorous background checks required for school settings (DBS, barred list checks, and reference verification).

About the Role

As the HR & Recruitment Administrator, you will be the engine room of the recruitment process. You will manage the journey from vacancy posting and application tracking to the final onboarding of new colleagues.

A critical part of your role involves ensuring “Safer Recruitment” compliance—an essential standard in education. You will handle the administration of enhanced DBS checks, verify career histories, and manage reference checks to ensure every new hire meets our safeguarding standards.

Beyond recruitment, you will support the wider HR department with general administration, maintaining accurate staff records and acting as a point of contact for internal and external queries. This is a fast-paced role that requires discretion, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a busy, year-round school environment.
