Housing Officer, Customer Service​/HelpDesk

Location: Home Based, covering Dorset, East Hampshire & Southampton

Salary: £29,000 per annum

Stonewater is looking for a Housing Officer (internally known as a Customer Partner) to join our Tenancy Sustainment team and provide exceptional customer service. The role focuses on managing property condition cases, hoarding issues, tenancy breaches, and permissions. It offers a varied, frontline experience for an experienced Housing or Community Development specialist, with responsibility for customer outcomes across a national model while maintaining local connections.

Key responsibilities:
• Manage property condition cases and tenancy breaches.
• Handle hoarding, permissions and other tenancy-related matters.
• Coordinate with multi-agencies to achieve customer outcomes.
• Travel locally for site visits and court appearances on behalf of colleagues.
• Provide customer-focused service and innovative solutions.

Ideal candidate will:
• Have proven housing experience and be able to successfully manage property condition cases and tenancy breaches.
• Have a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
• Be experienced in partnership and multi-agency working.
• Understand safeguarding and support vulnerable customers.
• Be agile, flexible and able to prioritise customer needs.
• Work well within a team and think beyond process to find innovative solutions.
• Be computer literate; experience with Active H is desirable.
