Job Description

Create a seamless first impression at one of London’s most celebrated dining rooms as a Host/Hostess at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, within Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. You’ll welcome guests, manage reservations and ensure every arrival feels choreographed yet effortlessly warm.

Role Overview

Working part-time (30 hours per week) with varied shifts across mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, you’ll be the first and last point of contact for restaurant guests. You’ll coordinate table allocations, handle special requests and communicate key reservation details to the management and service teams to keep service flowing smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with warmth, professionalism and impeccable personal presentation
• Handle phone, email and in-person reservations in a friendly, accurate and timely manner
• Record and follow up on special requests, dietary needs and important guest details
• Communicate reservation notes and guest information clearly to Head Waiters and Managers
• Manage the reservations system and floor plan to balance guest expectations and restaurant capacity
• Maintain a calm, welcoming entrance area and assist with guest enquiries throughout service

Skills and Experience

• Previous host/hostess or customer service experience in a luxury hospitality environment
• Fluent English, with excellent verbal communication and a confident, courteous manner
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure
• Genuine passion for service and guest care, with a natural ability to make people feel at ease
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Eligibility to work in the UK with appropriate documentation
