Expert Analysis
Home Instead stands out in the 2026 care market by maintaining a “minimum one-hour visit” policy, which significantly reduces staff burnout compared to providers using 15-minute slots. The inclusion of “Paid Travel Time” alongside mileage makes this a more financially viable option than many competitors who only pay for contact time.
Location & Logistics Guide
The role covers several high-density residential areas of East Liverpool, including West Derby and Knowsley. Having a vehicle is essential due to the nature of home-to-home visits. Proximity to the M57 and A580 facilitates easy movement between the L12 and L36 postcodes for staff living in the Merseyside region.

New Care Professionals are encouraged to pursue NVQ levels in Health and Social Care. Specialty pathways are available in Dementia Care and End of Life support. Many staff progress into Senior Care Assistant roles, Care Coordinator positions, or specialized training roles within the Knowsley and Liverpool East franchise office.
