The Kingsway School in Gatley is inviting a dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our expanding Inclusion and Diversity (SEND) Department. Details of the Role

• Support high-quality teaching and learning for students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs, working across mainstream lessons and targeted interventions.

• Deliver small-group and individual support, contributing to assessment and review processes.

• Work closely with teachers, families and the wider SEND team to remove barriers to learning.

• Support a strong universal offer alongside a Resource Base supporting students with more complex needs.

• Join a collaborative team of experienced professionals who meet regularly to plan, review and refine support.

• Be patient, proactive and ambitious for young people, with strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive practice.

About the Role

In this vital role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap for students with complex needs, working both in mainstream classrooms and within our specialized Resource Base. You will be a key collaborator in the assessment and review process, maintaining strong professional relationships with families and the wider SEND team to create a seamless support network for our pupils.
