Key Responsibilities

Departmental Leadership: Lead and manage an established History department, ensuring the curriculum remains rigorous, engaging, and innovative.

Excellence in Teaching: Act as an outstanding classroom practitioner, modeling best practices in History pedagogy for the rest of the team.

Academic Performance: Maintain and improve the department’s track record of excellent results, focusing on significant “Value Added” for students of all abilities.

Character Development: Embed the school’s shared character language (Aspiration, Respect, Community) into the History curriculum to support pupils’ personal development.

Staff Mentorship: Support the professional growth of colleagues within the department to ensure a consistent standard of high-quality education.
