The successful candidate will lead the delivery of A-level English across all three specifications and work within a supportive team that balances structural excellence with professional autonomy.
Role Overview

Position: Lead Teacher of A-level English

Student Engagement: Record numbers of students currently opting for A-level English.
Key Responsibilities

Subject Leadership: Lead the teaching and curriculum development for A-level English, covering English Language, English Literature, and the combined Language & Literature course.

Classroom Excellence: Specifically teach A-level English Language and maintain high standards of delivery in one other Key Stage (KS3 or KS4).

Strategic Collaboration: Work under the direction of the newly appointed Head of Department to sustain the department’s record of exceptional pupil progress and attainment.

Student Progression: Foster an environment that encourages academic rigor and a love for linguistics and literature, ensuring students are prepared for higher education.
