We are currently recruiting a proactive and experienced Groundworks Foreman on behalf of a well-established commercial groundworks and landscaping contractor. With projects spanning the Central Belt—from Glasgow to Edinburgh—our client has built a reputation for delivering high-quality commercial infrastructure. About the Role

As a Groundworks Foreman, you will be the driving force on-site, leading from the front to ensure projects are delivered to specification and on schedule. This is a dual-responsibility role where you will balance active site work with the supervision of day-to-day activities. You will be the primary point of coordination between site management, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring that every phase of the groundworks—from initial excavation to final landscaping—meets rigorous health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Certification: Valid SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.

• Expertise: A strong technical background across all aspects of groundworks (drainage, kerbing, slabbing, foundations).

• Technical Skills: Confidence in reading and interpreting site drawings and plans.

• Leadership: Proven ability to motivate a team and manage site paperwork effectively.

• Licence: Full UK driving licence.

• Squad Option: While individual applications are welcome, there is a distinct opportunity to bring a full, established squad.
