This is a senior leadership opportunity to take ownership of Ember’s Glasgow hub, guiding driver and hub support teams to deliver a reliable, high-quality, 24/7 electric coach service. You will shape people, processes, and performance while playing a hands-on role in daily operations and future expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of drivers and hub support staff.

• Act as line manager, overseeing HR processes, shift planning, training, and performance management.

• Take full responsibility for operational excellence, ensuring punctual, safe, and well-presented vehicles at all times.

• Collaborate with maintenance, technology, and central teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

• Define and refine the “best-in-class” hub model to support Ember’s rapid growth and future hub rollouts.

• Respond proactively to operational challenges in a fast-scaling, technology-led environment.

Candidate Profile

• Strong leadership capability with proven people-management and HR experience.

• Highly organised, resilient, and calm under pressure.

• Naturally curious, solutions-focused, and comfortable working hands-on when needed.

• Confident using digital tools, spreadsheets, and online systems.

• Flexible to work varied shifts when required.

• Experience in transport operations or senior stakeholder reporting is advantageous.
