Job Description

Coordinate and administer the Fusion Industry School and Fusion CDT programs, supporting events, communications, and collaboration with multiple institutions.


Core Job Information

Role Overview

  • Administrative support for the Fusion Industry School and Fusion CDT.

  • Project coordination for training programs in fusion energy.

  • Work closely with the Director, part-time FIS Manager, and wider organising teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer Fusion Industry School programmes and associated events.

  • Support data entry, inbox management, and programme documentation.

  • Assist with collaboration between University of York, University of Oxford, and UKAEA.

  • Record, analyse, and report information accurately.

  • Support the administration of Fusion Power CDT activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in a busy administrative or support role.

  • Proficiency in inbox administration and data entry.

  • Event and programme management experience.

  • Level 3 qualification including Maths and English or equivalent.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to take ownership of tasks.

  • Proficient in Google applications and/or Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Hours & Location

  • Part-time position.

  • Based primarily at the University of York, with occasional collaboration across partner institutions.
