Job Description

Join a small, product-focused engineering team in Liverpool as a Front End Developer, crafting modern web applications that customers use every day. You’ll shape interfaces end‑to‑end, collaborate closely with product and design, and see your ideas directly influence the roadmap.

Role Overview

Working in a hybrid setup from Liverpool, you’ll build and maintain responsive, data‑driven UIs using React, Next.js and TypeScript. You’ll own features from discovery through delivery, integrating secure APIs, refining UX with the design team and helping to maintain a clean, reliable front end architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain front end applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript
• Build responsive, accessible, user‑centric interfaces for desktop and mobile
• Implement data‑led UI components, dashboards and visualisations
• Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs and secure authentication flows (OAuth, JWT)
• Use Docker for consistent local development and contribute to deployment pipelines
• Work closely with product managers and designers to refine requirements and user journeys
• Participate in code reviews, pairing and continuous improvement of engineering practices
• Help shape front end standards, documentation and re‑usable component libraries

About You

• Commercial experience building front end applications with React and TypeScript (Next.js beneficial)
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript, component patterns and state management
• Comfortable thinking from the user’s perspective, not just ticking off tickets
• Experience integrating APIs and implementing secure authentication/authorisation flows
• Appreciation for performance, accessibility and clean, maintainable code
• Enjoy taking ownership, asking “why”, and challenging assumptions respectfully
• Confident communicating with non‑technical stakeholders and collaborating in a hybrid team
