Fork Lift Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating the FLT to efficiently load, unload and move materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires strong knowledge of FLT operations, materials handling, and safety protocols to ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes. Candidates with loading and unloading lorries and placing pallets into holding bays would be ideal

Duties
• Operate forklifts to load and unload goods onto curtain lorries
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, or containers with precision and safety
• Assist in shipping & receiving activities by organizing inventory and preparing shipments
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Assist in other warehouse duties as and when required

Experience
• Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
• Experience operating forklifts is essential
• Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting of equipment issues
• Prior supervisory experience as a warehouse supervisor is beneficial but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.33 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
