Financials & Timeline

  • Pay Rate: £140 – £250 per day (Includes 12.07% statutory holiday pay)

    • LE4 Area: ASAP

    • LE3 Area: After the May half-term break


Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Teaching Food Technology to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students.

  • Lesson Management: Planning and delivering engaging, practical, and safe food-based lessons.

  • Student Support: Assessing student work, tracking progress, and motivating young learners.

  • Collaboration: Working with the departmental team and wider school staff to maintain high standards.


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience Level: Open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.

  • Availability: Primarily seeking full-time candidates, but open to those seeking part-time work (2–3 days per week).

Skills & Knowledge

  • Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of Food Technology, nutrition, and food safety.

  • Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively, especially during practical sessions.

  • Soft Skills: Passion for teaching and a collaborative spirit.

Compliance & Safeguarding

  • DBS: Must have (or be willing to undergo) a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

  • Training: Must complete Child Protection and Prevent Duty training (provided free by the agency).

  • Vetting: Subject to safeguarding checks in line with “Keeping Children Safe in Education” guidance.
