Job Description

Deliver patient food and beverage services, maintain hygiene in ward kitchens, ensure safety standards, and support catering operations across hospital wards.

Core Information

## Role overview

• Provide food and beverage services to patients on wards.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas and ward kitchens.

• Ensure all catering services meet hospital safety and cleanliness standards.

• Part of the Catering Services team integrated within ward operations.

## Key responsibilities

• Serve meals, drinks, and snacks to patients courteously and efficiently.

• Perform cleaning duties including dishwashers, fixtures, and hard floors.

• Replenish consumables (soap, gel, hand towels) and remove waste to designated areas.

• Support colleagues to maintain smooth catering service operations.

• Ensure infection control and patient safety procedures are followed at all times.

## Experience & training

• Previous food service or catering experience desirable.

• Full training will be provided.

• Commitment to maintaining hygiene and following NHS food safety policies.
