The Field Retentions Engineer in Luton services alarms, retains customer accounts, resolves escalated complaints, and ensures first-time fix solutions.

Job Description

Location: Luton & surrounding areas

Salary: £25,500 basic increasing with role progression plus uncapped commission (up to £50,000 OTE)

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Shift Pattern: 9am to 6pm (Mon-Fri)

Holidays: 29 days annual leave including bank holidays, increasing to 31 days after 1 year

As a Field Retentions Engineer you will:

  • Handle escalated high-level complaints

  • Install, maintain, and provide technical assistance to Verisure security systems

  • Offer detailed walk-throughs of alarm systems to customers

  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships

  • Identify reasons for potential cancellations and promote suitable security solutions

  • Troubleshoot issues and manage repeat false alarms

  • Oversee stock materials and company vehicle maintenance

Required Criteria:

  • Strong English communication and team skills

  • Ability to manage ongoing issues and conversations independently

  • Target-driven with a customer-oriented approach

  • Clean manual driving licence

  • 1 year experience in Engineering/Technical/Retentions/Sales preferred
