The Field Officer installs electronic monitoring equipment, engages with clients, ensures public safety, and contributes to rehabilitating offenders within their communities.

Role Overview

• Field Officer for Electronic Monitoring in York.

• Full-time role, 37.5 hours/week, working a rolling rota including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

• Install tagging equipment in clients’ homes and monitor compliance.

Responsibilities

• Visit individuals in their homes for installation of electronic monitoring devices.

• Build rapport and confidence with monitored individuals.

• Support public safety and reduce prison system pressure.

• Collaborate with Monitoring Support Officers where necessary.

• Follow strict procedures and guidelines for monitoring and reporting.

Training and Support

• 3 weeks initial training.

• Mentorship from experienced Officers until fully competent.

• Continuous professional development and career progression opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid UK driver’s license.

• Reasonably fit with good verbal and written communication skills.

• Commitment to helping others, regardless of previous work experience.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.

• Subject to Baseline Personnel Standard Security vetting.
