Job Description
Curate unforgettable occasions at one of London’s most storied addresses as an Events Team Leader at Raffles London at The OWO. You’ll lead service on high-profile events, coordinate set-up and breakdown, and ensure every guest experiences polished, ultra-luxury hospitality from arrival to farewell.
Role Overview
Working across ballrooms, meeting spaces and private event rooms, you’ll oversee food and beverage service, brief and support the events team, and liaise closely with kitchen, bar and planning teams. You’ll help translate detailed event plans into flawless execution, always anticipating guest needs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the service team during events, ensuring gracious, efficient F&B delivery
- Coordinate with the kitchen to manage service flow, timings and presentation standards
- Oversee set-up, reset and breakdown of event spaces to agreed layouts and deadlines
- Communicate warmly and professionally with guests, anticipating requirements and resolving issues in real time
- Maintain immaculate standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation in all event areas
- Take on additional responsibilities in the absence of senior leadership, supporting smooth operation across the hotel
- Uphold health, safety and fire procedures, reporting and acting on any hazards
Health & Safety
- Report potential and actual hazards promptly and support immediate rectification
- Be fully conversant with departmental fire, emergency and evacuation procedures
- Promote a culture of safety awareness within the team and across all tasks
Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential
- Clear, efficient communication skills in English, verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high levels of service under pressure
- Strong time-management skills, able to multi-task while maintaining composure and professionalism
- Genuine enthusiasm for exceptional service and guest experience
- Willingness to work within a 24‑hour operational schedule as required
Desirable
- Previous experience in luxury hotel events or banqueting, ideally to LQA/Forbes 5* standards
- Passion for ultra-luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest moments
