Role Overview

Our partner in the education sector is looking for a dedicated Employability Officer to become a member of their regional team. Your Contribution

The primary goal of this position is to facilitate the journey of young participants as they move from the classroom into professional environments. You will offer individual guidance, secure appropriate work experience opportunities, manage the integration process, act as a professional mentor, and ensure all administrative tracking meets rigorous compliance and progress standards.

Main Duties:

  • Advocating for and assisting learners during their educational and work-based phases.

  • Coordinating diverse placements in industries including Retail, Construction, Childcare, and Administration.

  • Equipping participants with interview techniques and preparing them for their initial days on-site.

  • Conducting site visits to oversee progress and addressing any challenges that arise during placements.

  • Documenting participant journeys and ensuring all regulatory paperwork is finalized accurately.

  • Acting as a liaison between the DSS Coordinator and various vocational training providers.

  • Upholding strict adherence to organizational ethics, privacy laws, and safeguarding requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • NVQ Level 2 certification (or an equivalent) including core competencies in English and Mathematics.

  • Proven technical literacy, particularly within the Microsoft Office ecosystem.

  • Professional background in learning support or industries related to the placement sectors.

  • Superior interpersonal abilities and a high level of methodical organization.

  • The self-reliance to handle administrative workflows and independent tasks efficiently.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of confidentiality standards and safeguarding practices.
