PRJ & LR Vincent
We are recruiting 1 part-time egg packer/poultry worker for our free-range egg enterprise. The position involves sorting eggs on a conveyor belt and removing “seconds”, washing eggs, stacking trays, collecting eggs from the shed floor, general poultry welfare and husbandry, cleaning the packing room and equipment.
Applicants must be reliable, responsible, conscientious, able to use initiative, wo
rk unsupervised and pay attention to detail. You must be able to bend, lift and to see cracks/marks on eggs. Own transport is required due to location. Previous poultry/livestock experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.Shifts start at 8:30am and vary in length (approx. 3hrs) depending on the time of year and flock age. Starting hourly rate of pay for 21 years and over is the National Living Wage £12.21 with £18.32 being paid on Sundays and bank holidays (hourly rate for under 21’s dependant on experience -at least minimum wage).
This is a permanent post working 5 or 6 mornings a week – which must include Saturday and Sunday.
