At Sompo, we are seeking a Claims Technician to join our Claims Operations team in the UK business.

This role involves overseeing claims governance and technical claims handling performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and drive excellence in claims handling across all lines of business.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience in claims processes, insurance products, and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling and reconciling claims bordereaux submitted by coverholders and TPAs, inputting and validating bordereaux data within internal systems and claims platforms.

You will also ensure that bordereaux are received on a timely basis and are compliant with contract terms, internal standards, and regulatory requirements.

Liaising with Underwriting Operations, Finance, and Claims Managers to ensure smooth data flow and resolution of discrepancies is also a key aspect of this role.

Additionally, you will prepare regular bordereaux and claims management information reports, support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation and data accuracy, and maintain effective communication with coverholders, TPAs, and other stakeholders.

Producing claims experiences for brokers and underwriters, processing joiners, movers, and leavers within the claims systems, and resolving London Market messages are also essential duties of this position.
