Requirements & Qualifications

To Deliver (Couriers):

Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
Vehicle: Car, motorbike, or bicycle.
Docs: Valid driving licence and vehicle insurance (must include specific food delivery cover if using a motor vehicle).

To Drive (Rideshare):

Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
Vehicle: An eligible vehicle with a valid MOT certificate and logbook (V5C).
Licensing: A UK driving licence, plus a private-hire driver licence and a private-hire vehicle licence from a council Uber is licensed by.
Support: If you don’t have these licences yet, Uber provides a personalized Ignition appointment to offer advice and support through the council’s licensing process after you sign up.
