Job Description

Lead and scale a tech‑enabled audit, risk and compliance service line as Director, Audit Risk & Compliance Services at Liberty Blume. You’ll build a high‑performing ARC business that serves Liberty Global and external clients, blending deep domain expertise with automation and smart delivery models.

Role Overview

Sitting within Blume Business Solutions, you’ll set the strategic vision for the ARC function and turn it into a scalable, commercially attractive proposition. You’ll oversee internal audit, SOX/financial controls and compliance offerings, grow a talented multi‑jurisdictional team, and develop new products and services that can be sold across Liberty Global’s federation and the wider market.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for Audit, Risk & Compliance services, building a scalable, tech‑enabled platform.
• Lead delivery of internal audit, SOX testing and wider ARC services to Liberty Global and other contracted customers.
• Develop new ARC propositions (including e‑learning and managed services), taking them to market with business development teams.
• Own and deepen key relationships with Liberty Global’s central ARC leadership and other senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all ARC activity complies with customer standards, contractual SLAs and relevant professional frameworks.
• Drive adoption of technology, data and AI to enhance insight, efficiency and quality in ARC delivery.
• Lead weekly delivery and status reviews, reporting risks, themes and outcomes to client stakeholders.
• Build, coach and retain a high‑calibre ARC team, with clear talent, succession and development plans.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and P&L performance for the ARC function.
• Act as principal liaison between Blume ARC and Liberty Global’s VP/MD of ARC, providing regular strategic and operational updates.

About You

• Degree in accounting, finance or business; professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, ACA, CIA, CISA, CIPM) strongly preferred.
• Significant track record in audit and accounting, including leadership of SOX programmes and Big Four (or equivalent) practice experience.
• Proven ability to build and grow a service line, win work and lead complex, multi‑country ARC engagements.
• Comfortable shaping and deploying technology/AI solutions within audit, risk and compliance environments.
• Exceptional leadership and change‑management skills, with an entrepreneurial, results‑focused mindset.
• Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating across finance, technology, operations and commercial teams.
• Strong communicator, able to simplify complex issues and drive decisions.
• Passion for innovation, automation and continuous improvement; telecoms or large‑scale corporate experience is a plus.
