King (the creators of Candy Crush and part of Microsoft Gaming) is seeking a high-caliber leader to spearhead an ambitious 18-month digital overhaul of their finance function. This isn’t just a systems upgrade; it is a behavioral and technical shift aimed at creating an “agent-assisted” Finance function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead a global community of 40+ professionals, moving them away from manual data retrieval toward high-impact, AI-driven commercial influence. If you blend deep technical fluency (Python, SQL, GenAI) with executive presence, this is a chance to redefine modern finance at one of the world’s most successful mobile gaming companies.

Requirements and Skills

• Technical Fluency: Must have hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools (specifically Power BI and Microsoft Fabric).

• AI Expertise: Proven ability in GenAI prompt-engineering and scaling AI use cases; familiarity with agentic frameworks (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) is a major plus.

• Transformation Leadership: Extensive experience leading multi-team digital transformations in Finance, Analytics, or Consulting.

• Engineering Standards: Ability to implement “engineering-grade” practices in finance, such as version control (GitHub), CI/CD for models, and robust documentation.

• Executive Presence: Capable of simplifying complex tech for the King CFO and senior leadership across Activision Blizzard and Microsoft.

• Preferred: Professional finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, etc.), MBA, or experience with FinOps (cloud-cost optimization).

• Capacity Unlocked: Material reduction in manual reporting time.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Roadmap: Define a multi-quarter roadmap aligned with King’s “Insight → Impact” OKRs.

• AI Enablement: Own and scale the portfolio of modern tools, including Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and BigQuery.

• Agentic Automation: Introduce agentic AI and workflow automation (e.g., Airflow, Power Automate) to streamline the “Plan-Decide-Partner” cycle.

• Upskilling: Run a capability programme to ensure the finance team can independently query data and ship production-grade content.

• Governance: Establish “audit-ready” controls for responsible AI, data lineage, and privacy.
